Masters of Business Administration - Business Analytics
The Master of Business Administration program with Concentration in Business Anaytics at South College is designed to prepare business professionals for the unique challenges of the 21st century. The program is designed for completion in an online format with all coursework and assignments submitted through the learning management system. Both a full-time (15 months) and part-time option are available to allow students the ability to excel in their present positions and in the classroom. The curriculum provides a balance of theoretical and practical coursework that further develops the critical thinking and financial skills needed in today’s competitive and evolving business workforce. Students will be challenged through coursework and collaborative interaction with faculty and fellow students to identify, develop, and enhance their understanding in traditional and cutting edge business graduate courses relating to the challenges of managing in general business and using financial analysis skills to solve business problems.
At South College, students enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program with Concentration in Business Analytics will be able to tailor their learning to their long-term objectives and interests through selection of topics in course papers and projects. The capstone course provides a unique opportunity for a thorough investigation of a business dilemma, incorporating principles of accounting, finance, marketing, economics, and management concepts and theories. Students in the finance concentration will incorporate financial principles, investment analysis, and associated risks into their capstone project. This allows students to enhance their understanding and to strengthen their skills in areas unique to their finance focus, which increases the value of their degree and the impact of their learning within the business arena.
The program is designed to be completed in an online format to provide flexibility and to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. Coursework will be offered using interactive instructional software with an emphasis on collaboration, analysis, and critical thinking. An orientation to the program and institution will be conducted online using video capture software. Students will be required to complete an online module for orientation at the start of their first quarter of classes.
