Dr. Fitzgerald has over three decades of educating pharmacy students and practitioners as well as other allied health profession students in the State of Tennessee. With extensive experience in healthcare issues that focus on social and administrative sciences, law and ethics, Tennessee State medication review and evaluation process, professional development and post graduate education, Dr. Fitzgerald has offered practitioners the guidance and tools needed for successful practice and optimal patient care. He has held an academic appointment at four colleges of pharmacy and served in a variety of administrative and consultant roles to the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare organizations. Dr. Fitzgerald’s research is in the area of healthcare law and ethics as well as faculty development. Dr. Fitzgerald is nationally recognized expert who is often invited for speaking engagements and presentations at scientific sessions of professional associations and continuous professional education seminars. Dr. Fitzgerald has received many prestigious awards such as the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association Public Service Award and Tom C. Sharp, Sr. Pharmacist of the Year Award by Tennessee Pharmacists Association.
