Dr. Ally joined the School of Pharmacy after eighteen years of teaching and research in several medical and pharmacy schools including Chiba University School of Medicine, Japan and Loma Linda University, California. He has received a Fellowship in Cardiology from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His research is on the central nervous system control of cardiovascular functions dealing with the molecular, biochemical, and physiological mechanisms within the brain that controls cardiovascular function following stroke, including its prevention and treatment. He has published more than 55 articles and reviews, and has more than 100 presentations in national and international conferences. He received several awards and grants, including one from the American Heart Association. He also served in grants study section of the American Heart Association.
