Dr. Mark joined the Pharmaceutical Sciences faculty in March 2012. She graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Winona State University (Minnesota) and a B.S. in Medical Technology from The University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Medicine. She completed her doctoral studies in Pharmaceutical Science at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Pharmacy. She was a Research Associate/Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine in the Pharmacology Department. Prior to joining the SOP Pharmaceutical Sciences Faculty, Dr. Mark was an Assistant Professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Pharmacy. Investigating the impact of chronic inflammation on the blood-brain barrier and subsequent neurological complications is the focus of her research interests. Dr. Mark is a member of and reviewer for the NIH Neural Drug Discovery Study Section and also serves as a peer-reviewer for JPET, Life Sciences, Am J Physiol, and J Pharm Sci journals.
